Our mission is to stop CCHMC from eliminating our pension and cutting our compensation. To achieve this mission, we have no choice but to unionize. By unionizing, we will have a collective voice to fight back against CCHMC Management's cuts to our retirement, our compensation, and our future.

Under the CCHMC Pension, CCHMC contributed 15% of your pay to your pension every year.
Under the new CCC Plan, you just took a MASSIVE cut to your compensation.
On September 16, 2024, Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center management announced that it is eliminating the pension that has been in place for decades. You used to get a 15% contribution from CCHMC. Now, you are going to get a 5-9% contribution, depending on your years of service. In other words, you just took a MASSIVE cut to your compensation.
It saves them money! CCHMC has seemingly endless funds for marketing, new construction, expansion, and raises and bonuses for executives. But not for its employees and their families.
Instead of contributing 15% of your pay--and 15% of the pay of more than 15,000+ CCHMC employees--CCHMC will now pay just a fraction of that amount towards your retirement. Yet, CCHMC Management has the audacity to claim that this change is somehow in your best interest.
You got a measly raise this year and took a HUGE cut to your compensation. What's next? If we do nothing to fight back, what other cost-cutting measures is Management going to take at our expense?
Unionization is the only way to fight back. CCHMC sought no input from its employees before deciding to eliminate our pension. They think that we can't do simple math. They think that we're too dumb to realize that we just took a massive cut to our compensation.
Unionization gives us a collective voice. It allows us, as one, to demand the pension be saved. And while we are at it, we can demand better raises, lower health insurance copays, and free parking.
CCHMC Management can do whatever it wants, whenever it wants, unless we join together. Do you think their cuts are going to stop at eliminating our pension?!
